On behalf of the development team I am excited to announce that our new search engine is live! (Take a look, it's in the header, top-right )

We have been working on this project for many months now (building a search engine from scratch is no easy feat!) and we hope the new Buildipedia Search makes it easier for you to discover all of our great content.

This new Seach experience includes the ability to browse articles, photos, and videos in separate tabs.

If you find a particular search query extra useful, you can bookmark the web address and always refer back to that same set of results. For example, here is a link I saved that will show us results for "DIY" projects:

http://buildipedia.com/search?search=DIY&page=1&type=articles

Pretty cool.

You will also notice a little up-arrow in the top-right corner of each individual result item, this is the relevancy button. If you find an article, image, or video that seems to be more accurate for your particular search, then you can rate it up. Over time, this will help the search engine decide when a specific item might need to be ranked a bit higher for a particular query.

Expect to get a few bizarre results pages as we collect search data and fine-tune the results rankings, but more often than not it should perform splendidly. As always, if you experience any bugs, oddities, or just want to provide some feedback, drop a message in the
