This topic includes information related to exterior sun control devices installed during construction.  Exterior sun control devices are installed on the exterior of a building, around openings, to help control heat and brightness caused by the sun from negatively affecting interior spaces in a building.  Devices are installed in fixed positions or are movable by hand or a motor.  In addition to controlling the thermal affects of the sun, exterior sun control devices also provide privacy, insulate the interior and protect against damage that could be caused by storms.
